Jim Granville
Almost everywhere you are in Lower Burrell whether it is in business, community service or local government, you will find one common thread; and that would be Jim Granville. Jim, a resident of Burrell, is an extraordinary individual who takes being part of his community very seriously. He is involved in numerous ventures and his dedication has positively affected many peoples' lives.

Jim credits his civic involvement to Lower Burrell Mayor Donald Kinosz and his wife Debi Kinosz. "They both work tirelessly for the people of Lower Burrell and have set a high standard. Donald's enthusiasm and love of the city is unlike anyone I have met." Working Towards A Better Tomorrow.

Jim is on the Lower Burrell Parks and Recreation Committee and the co-chair for the Lower Burrell Autumfest. He is also the President of the Board of Trust for the Peoples Library, a member of the Lower Burrell Recycling Task Force and very active with the Burrell Area Rotary. Debi suggested Jim for the library board and Donald asked him to be a member of the Rotary. In addition, Jim credits his wife and family for making all he does possible. "If I did not have the love and support of my wife and family I would not be involved to the extent that I am."

One of the projects that he has been working on with the City of Lower Burrell is putting together an extensive list of vacant property on the city's website. He finds the property and then speaks to the owners about listing them for free of charge. The city hopes to be able to fill the vacant buildings and bring more business into the area.

Jim is currently a Telecommunications Engineer for World Com. He does consulting work and helps businesses learn how to be more efficient. One of the projects that he worked on for over a year entailed him looking at all the phone bills and then he put them on a mainframe. He ended up saving the company three million dollars. This job keeps him on the go and he does a lot of traveling.

Jim lives in Lower Burrell with his wife of over twenty-eight years, Mary Ann. They have three children; twins Brian and Jessica and an older son Tom.
