Menu tonight: Family Style Lasagna Tossed Salad Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting
Family Style Lasagna 1 small jar roasted garlic and parmesan spaghetti sauce 1 small jar green pepper an mushroom spaghetti sauce 3 tablespoons garlic powder 1 tablespoon thyme ½ tablespoon oregano ½ tablespoon basil 1 large carton ricotta cheese 6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup parmesan cheese 1 ½ lbs ground beef ½ lb ground hot sausage 1 box lasagna noodles (ready to go into oven is what I use now)
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and hot sausage until no longer pink. Drain. In a separate Dutch oven combine spaghetti sauces and spices and simmer over low heat. Add the drained meat mixture to the sauce mixture. Bring to a boil. Grease a 15 x 13 x 2 pan. Spread a layer of sauce over bottom of pan. Next add a layer of noodles, spread ricotta over noodles and sprinkle with parmesan cheese; spread a layer of sauce mixture over the cheese. Sprinkle with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.

Combine all ingredients except dressing in a large salad bowl, toss to blend. Serve with favorite dressing.
Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting 1 box Duncan Hines Devils Food Cake Mix 1 can of Milk Chocolate Frosting Follow directions for mixing and baking the cake. Pour into a bundt cake pan that has been greased with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Test with toothpick to make sure it’s no longer in batter form. Invert pan onto serving plate. Cool completely. Spread chocolate frosting over top and sides of cooled cake. Serve with scoop of ice cream if desired.
