Allegheny Valley Chamber of Commerce Site

The Allegheny Valley Chamber of Commerce (AVCC) recently held a membership drive and their web site helped. One business, after reading about membership on the web site, called and became a member. One staff member said it’s “amazing” how much activity the web site receives. She said a number of calls come into their office after people and businesses visit the AVCC web site. The AVCC web site is both useful and informative. The Homepage has an interesting “ticker” box giving the latest information with seven navigator buttons that easily take viewers to the information needed. The “Enroll Now” section gives all the membership information with a printable form for application. Officers and committees are also listed. The “Membership Directory” lists all the companies, businesses and persons belonging to the AVCC and is searchable by category and/or name. Hot linked e-mail addresses are on each listing making it easy for a quick contact. Other excellent informative areas are “Business Resources”, “Our Community”, and “Local Job Listings”. On the front page you can order gift certificates to local businesses, visit the chamber’s health plans and Pennsylvania CareerLink.
