Lady Eagles
Coach Shari Infante
“Last year they played very well and they came out about even, about 500, and they were a very good team," Evangel Heights Christian Academy Coach Shari Infante says. "I had some very good players on the team.”

This is the third senior class at the school, and Infante has coached its' girls' basketball team all three years. "This year I have one senior (she didn’t play last year, and she came back to the team) and I have four sophomores now, [as well as] a senior who is new to the team and three freshmen," describes the coach, "It is a very diverse team."

Shari has seen them come a long way. "They’re very talented and I had most of these girls in middle school, since 8th grade, and," she adds, "it is a lot of fun just watching them mature the team. I can see so much improvement in them and they’re really learning how to play the game right now. Their skills are coming but they are really getting to know basketball and mature in that."

The group of girls who make up her team make coaching them enjoyable, according to Infante. "I love basketball and I like playing with them. I love being with them. They’re a lot of fun," she says.

For the Evangel Heights coach, coaching the girls is all about relationship. "The girls are very close with each other, and a lot of them have been going through the school together for many years, have classes together, spend their day together. It's good to have them close, and all get along; and I get to be close and have a good relationship with them on and off the court."

Shari explains just who these young ladies are on her team in the exclusive audio webcast found here.
