Lady Cavaliers Coach Tom Pipkins

The Lady Cavs basketball team prepared for this season by playing a lot of ball in the off-season, taking part in several summer league matches. "We had some girls who played AAU. We had some other girls who came out in the summer and just worked hard, Kiski Area Coach Tom Pipkins says.

"I'm really pleased with the way things have progressed so far." Pipkins who has coached various sports for 35 years, believes this year's squad has a lot of potential. "This group is unique. We don't have a lot of size. If they could play more consistently, we'll be more successful…this team, they work hard, they don't give up; and I think," the coach points out, "they have the will to win."
