"In order to have fun, you have to have some success—losing isn’t that much fun. We’re starting to win…the girls are having fun and that’s my main thing. I want the girls to enjoy their time in the gym because they’re working hard."
Logero isn't looking for just gym rats. "And off the court I want them to be respectful ladies, I want them to be good in the classroom," the coach notes. "We try to keep our grades up and just have a positive and be positive role models for the elementary kids, for the rest of the kids in the high school, because it takes a special person to be an athlete.”
Chad sees glimpses of the Steelers in his squad. "What we have this year are girls that are doing whatever it takes for the team. At each game we have a different player step up," Logero says. "The girls understand what it takes to win as a team…I’m just very pleased at our progress so far this season.”
