Barb & Jesse Lege
You don’t think too much about vending machines unless they don’t work or have what you want! Or maybe when there aren’t any around. You would think there would be a vending machine at every conceivable place today, but there isn’t. However, there’s a new company out there that is hoping to change that. B & J Lege Vending is certainly making its mark on area businesses. Barb and Jesse Lege are behind B & J Lege Vending. With five kids, ages 22, 19, 17, 15 and 11, college and other needs, they looked into finding a needed service they could provide. Jesse, a Vandergrift native, has a long career in the food industry and is very familiar with what needs there are. Barb held a head cashiers position at a local market before raising her family became the main task. With their combined knowledge, B & J Lege Vending came into existence with Barb as its owner.

Let’s go back to vending machines that don’t work and places that do not have them. Jesse stated, “There is plenty of room for them”. Combined with that need there is a second big factor that creates need: service. “You would be surprised at the number of existing vending machines that aren’t serviced,” Barb said. Customers have told them they would call the vending company and no one would come. That alone has led B & J Lege Vending to securing many new customers. The other factor that is causing B & J to grow is service. Businesses want to keep employees happy and by providing snacks and drinks they like this can be accomplished. Even the smallest business can do this through B & J because there are many choices in selecting vending machines. They offer four different kinds of machines with variations that fit almost every situation. They even offer a unit that hangs on the wall where space is tight. Employers can designate what kind of products they want in vending machines. They can choose between 19 to 40 different kinds of snacks and a number of sodas including water. One vending machine offers both soda and snacks and all of their machines accept dollar bills in addition to coins. Probably the most important part of B & J’s is the service. One customer said, “When I call they came right away”. That counts more to keeping happy employers and employees. A post office and a YMCA already are customers along with others such as a medical warehouse, car dealer, manufacturer, and Alle-Kiski Today’s office. Machines are serviced as frequently as needed which sometimes means several times a week. If you need a vending machine or have one you want replaced with better service, call B & J Lege Vending at 724-568-1983.
