Centrally located at Franchelle Square in Creighton and right off a Route 28 Exit, Randy and Sue Zaleski offer the personal touch that makes all the difference in the world when it comes to banquet halls. The newly designed Magnolia Room offers an attractive and elegant setting with beautiful chandeliers and a whole lot of benefits that many do not offer. Here’s one real plus for weddings: the bride gets her own private lounge! This is what the personal touch is all about and it goes a long way in making a bride comfortable.
“We aim to please”, Sue says. That’s why when you call there is a series of steps to help you find if this is right place for you. The most obvious and very first piece of information is the date the event will be held. Banquet halls tend to book far in advance (even two years sometimes!) and getting your date booked is the first and far most important need. Capacity is always another concern for many events. The Magnolia Room seats approximately 250 plus persons, but Sue says that 220 persons makes a much more comfortable setting.
The second most important aspect of booking a banquet hall is your budget. The Magnolia room costs include the banquet room and catering and starts at $29.00 per person. Sue says she sends inquiries to view their web site at www.themagnoliaroom.com to have an overview of the facilities, look at the available menu and consider the pricing. The web site is well done and gives complete information. These personal touches make the first steps in securing a banquet hall easy. Randy and Sue invested a lot in making the process seamless.
The next step according to Sue is to visit the Magnolia Room and have a personal tour. Her husband Randy is usually the tour guide. Here you will see first hand all the features. Let’s take the tour and see what The Magnolia Room offers: It is handicap accessibility and we have already mentioned the private Bridal lounge. The ballroom is arranged to give ample room to move around. An interesting and helpful addition is two large television screens that permit those attending to see what’s happening at the bridal table. Talk about saving your neck muscles – what a great idea! The bridle table is elevated to help with viewing the ongoing activities.
Here’s another big plus: Sue and Randy will help you plan your event, help you with all the aspects of the wedding banquet, and will tray the cookies and cut and serve the wedding cake at no extra charge. You can select a buffet style serving or have pre-selected dinners. Futules Harmar House is the in-house caterer and is considered tops in their field. The complete menu is online at the web site. You get table linens on every table, china plates, silverware and linen napkins and endless other services. And, you get all the food left over!
Sue told me that she is working on opening a Bridal Gift Shop to complement the Banquet Room. This will offer another personal touch towards full service for those who are going to wed. The shop will have special gifts for the bride, wedding party gifts, champagne glasses, photo albums, picture frames, favors, giftware, invitations and more.
The Magnolia Room is located at 879 Freeport Road in Creighton behind Franchelle Square. Turn onto Murryhill Road next to Sheetz and you will see the building and parking area. Call 724-224-9401 for further information and visit their web site at www.themagnoliaroom.com. Also visit the caterer’s web site at www.harmarhouse.com/default.shtml.
