Kiski Area's cheerleaders have already competed twice year. In regional contests at Geauga Lake and Charleroi, the girls placed first in both competitions, earning a trip to Nationals.

The Cavaliers' squad will soon host their own competition November 5th, complete with a spring floor, a bid to Nationals, a Chinese Auction and a Jump Off and Tumble off competition.

Coach Jenn McAfee says, "This team is one of the best groups of girls I have ever worked with. They not only have school spirit and the drive to win, but they also have compassion, dedication, and most of all, know the true meaning of working together as a team."

The Cavs' Varsity squad is seniors Paige Sarraf (Captain), Jenny Laero (Captain), Brittany Herbeck (Co-Captain), Gina Deluca, Danielle Round, Bonny Seighman, Susan Lege; juniors Sara Rattay, Beka Szarmach, Mandi Moser, Ashley Schwartz, Megan Shotts, Stacey Shankle, Jessica Miller, and Ashley Petrowski.
