Blake Roach

When I was a kid I had a great imagination and always dreamed up elaborate storylines. They usually revolved around a princess being rescued by prince charming or saving the world from catastrophe. Sometimes I even put the thoughts down on paper and shared those stories with my younger sisters who also enjoyed imaginative tales. Blake Roach of Burrell also enjoys creating literary masterpieces on her computer. Her stories include colorful characters that have different adventures. In addition to writing, she loves to read.

Besides her wonderful creativity, Blake is also very gifted academically. She especially enjoys math and last year she participated in the fourth grade Aftermath program. The program is set up for gifted fourth and fifth graders and involves working on advanced math problems. This challenges them to push their math skills even further. Blake really enjoyed it and would like to participate again this year.

Her enthusiastic nature makes her a perfect candidate for the intense sport of soccer. She has been playing on the school's soccer team since she was in kindergarten. Her favorite position is goalie. She obviously does very well since they were undefeated last season with only a couple of tie games. In addition to soccer, this summer Blake had the opportunity to participate on the Sylvan Pool swim team. She found the new experience exciting and that her favorite and best-accomplished stroke was the breaststroke.

On Sundays, Blake attends Sunday school at the Hebron Lutheran Church in Leechburg where her family is a member. She lives in Burrell with her parents Todd and Dana and her three younger sisters, Haylee, Tayler, and Rilee.

Blake has an incredible amount of talent and a wonderful gift for expression. The energy and inventive passion she invests in life will surely make her a person to be noticed. Don't be surprised if in the future you see some of her work on the Best Sellers list.
