What is it that makes a champion? What makes a person go out and lay it all on the line for their team, or their school, or their friends? How do you get to be a champion? What's the key ingredient? I asked this to about 20 million coaches and athletes in the Alle-Kiski region, many of who recently competed on a championship level. Well, it seemed like 20 million--I got an incredible amount of good feedback, AND there were a large amount of champions out there.
Space will restrict how much we can print here, but we will have the rest of it online at alle-kiskitoday.com, along with the stories of these champions. For it is in what they have done or seen that you can see what Baseball Scout and Riverview Baseball Coach Rich Griser sees: the "intangibles", that combination of hard work, passion, and focus that nearly every coach and athlete mentioned in some form. You will be able to see, to some degree, the Heart of a Champion.
