Every day after school Amber comes home and immediately does her homework. And, if she doesn't have homework, she asks her teacher for extra work. Jody, Amber's mother, stated that Amber studies independently and is diligent in seeing that she does well. In fact, she scored in the top 93% for the Iowa tests. She loves school, especially math, science and spelling.
When you look at the whole picture of Amber's life, it is incredible to see what she manages to accomplish every day. Not only is she extremely dedicated to her academics; she is also heavily involved in other activities and athletics.
She never misses an opportunity to try a new sport. Not only does Amber try every sport that comes along, she tries her hardest and puts everything she has into the sport. She has been playing soccer, which is her favorite sport, for the past five years. She plays the difficult position of striker or goalie. Amber also has four years of softball on her young resume as well as several years of basketball. In addition, she has been in gymnastics for the past three years and attends Flo's Gymnastics in Natrona Heights. Her sports overlap so that Amber is always involved in something. She is currently learning how to pitch and has a high school student training her.
Amber also faithfully attends the Kids' Community Bible Club held at the CPAC building on Emerson Street, Vandergrift. She has been attending on Saturdays for the past two years.
After speaking with Amber and learning a little about her life, I was quite impressed. She is a wonderful girl with a bubbling personality and an amazing amount of talent. Amber lives in Vandergrift with her parents, Jody and Vince and her brother Anthony.
