Valley’s Track team, coached by George Weber, took home several medals at the Class AA WPIAL and PIAA Individual Championships recently. Toney Clemons, sought after by a dozen Division 1 football schools as he enters his senior year next fall, finished first in the Long Jump and 110 Meter Hurdles, in both WPIAL and State competitions. It was Clemons’ second year to grab gold in the State 110 Hurdles.

Stacey O’Neal, a junior at Valley, brought back a first-place Gold Medal in the Boys Triple Jump at WPIALs and went on to finish in the top 15 at States. The Vikings’ boys’ 4x100m relay squad also joined the select few who raced at States after winning a third-place Bronze Medal in the WPIALs. Emily Zalewski took seventh in the WPIAL 800m dash.
