Chris Kravetsky
"I've been around the medical field all my life, so it only seemed natural that I would make it my career," Chris Kravetsky was only three years old when his parents opened Lifestat Ambulance Service in Saltsburg. The passion for caring for and serving others trickled down through his parents to his older brother and then to him. Now, the entire family plays a part in the business. His father, John, and brother, Matt, are both paramedics and his mother, Tammy, is an EMT. Chris finished a 125-hour training course last spring to receive certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and is now working part-time for Lifestat.

Chris plans to attend Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, upon graduation from high school this year. He really liked the two-year program offered at Mercy because you are secured a job there upon graduation. His goal is to work as an ER nurse and then to take the Paramedic Certification Exam so he can also work outside of the hospital.

Until then, Chris is keeping very busy with a wide variety of activities. He is in the marching band percussion section and has served as Drumline Captain for the past two years at Saltsburg High School. He is also a part of the Jazz, County, and District Bands. This love of music follows him outside the school and into his DJ business and band. His DJ business, CD ProAudio, has been taking off since he started it last year. Because he is so good, he has had the opportunity to DJ many of the school dances, parties, and banquets. Chris and two of his friends Brandon Vatter and Joe Wilson recently started a pop rock band. Besides doing some recording, they hope to be able to play at some of the school functions.

Chris also enjoys running lights and sound for the school activities. He is a member of the Saltsburg High School Video Production class. In this class you learn how to use video editing equipment and they are able to produce their own morning news broadcasts. Chris and his friends have taken what they've learned in class and used it to film, edit, and produce their own short movies in their spare time. He has also just received the honor of Saltsburg Student of the Month.

We are fortunate to have young adults like Chris. His caring and generous personality is exhibited in all he does. These attributes along with his enthusiasm for life will enable him to excel in the medical field and be a comfort to those lives that he touches.
