Onion Meatball Stew

Now that the cooler weather is here once again, it is time for the warm comfort foods like this delicious stew. It is quick to fix and sure to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. I’m sure it will become one of your favorite fall and winter dishes to fix.

Tonight’s Dessert: Onion Meatball Stew

Onion Meatball Stew 1 egg lightly beaten ½ cups soft bread crumbs 1 clove garlic, minced ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon dried savory 1 lb ground beef 10 ½ oz can condensed French onion soup 2/3 cup water 3 medium carrots, cut into ¾ inch chunks 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks 1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges

Onion Meatball Stew
In large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, garlic, salt and savory. Crumble ground beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1 ¼ inch balls. Bake balls in 350 degree oven until done.

In large dutch oven pan, stir in the soup, water, carrots, potatoes and onions. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes; add meatballs and continue cooking until vegetables are tender.

Serve with your favorite rolls or bread and you will have a mouth watering meal in minutes.
