The Saltsburg Elementary School Cheerleaders were Grand Champs of the Recreational Division at the Elite Cheer State Championships held at the University of Pittsburgh Nov. 18th. The squad, coached by Coaches Tracy Richards and Samantha Corridoni, won their division and then won the Grand Championship of all four groups (10 squads.) The team, which is made up of third-to-sixth graders, is on a roll this autumn. Awards also include First Place at the Blairsville All-American Cheer Classic on Oct. 28th, First Place Nov. 4th at the Homer City Competition, and First Place at the Nov. 11th UPJ competition.
