- 8 to 10 large tomatoes (chopped and seeded)
- 3 green peppers
- 2 (14 – 16 ounce) cans of low sodium chicken broth
- 1 (14 – 16 ounce ) can of vegetable broth
- 1 ½ cups of water
- 1 ½ teaspoons beef bullion granules
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 3 cups of cooked turkey
- 3 cups of cooked pasta
- fresh chopped basil (optional)
Take a Dutch oven or large saucepan and combine the first 10 items.
Bring your mixture to a boil. Cover and simmer on reduced heat for about 2 hours.
Next stir in pasta and turkey and make sure mixture is heated through. Top with fresh basil.
