Due to cost constraints in Westmoreland County, authorities have eliminated night court staff. However, night court is not completely done away with as some have thought. It is simply decentralized. Local municipalities are now required to have high-speed Internet connections to participate in the new, upgraded night court process.

Imagine being in the market for a house. Your list of amenities is small. Walls, a door, maybe a few windows, and some carpeting is all you ask. Youth United, a supplemental initiative to Habitat for Humanity, constructed this humble abode out of cardboard as part of a fundraiser for an entirely youth-built Habitat house. Prospective buyers viewed the home April 16th and 17th in the Riverview Plaza parking lot, New Kensington, during The Encampment.

Very few coaches in high school athletics win 300 in a career. But Kiski Area's wrestling coach, Chuck Tursky, has done just that, moving him into an elite class of about 10 WPIAL wrestling coaches. Yet the 300 victories are just one page from the coach's mental photo album.
