Due to cost constraints in Westmoreland County, authorities have eliminated night court staff. However, night court is not completely done away with as some have thought. It is simply decentralized. Local municipalities are now required to have high-speed Internet connections to participate in the new, upgraded night court process.

Our Local Heritage The Secret Of The Grove
125 years ago, it was just a part of the Townsend farm—nothing more than just a deep ravine with a creek in it, its’ slopes adorned with a grove of fruit trees. In 1895, a town was built on the site. But the grove and ravine stayed and a gazebo and picnic stand were built there in the woods. The town’s citizens celebrated July 4th there.
