The Jr. High Co-Ed Cheering Squad in Saltsburg.

This has been an exciting season for the Saltsburg Co-Ed Cheering Squad. On Saturday, November 16, they won the state title at Fitzgerald Fieldhouse. They have also won two other first place and two second place awards. They have also competed in Monessan on November 24th. What makes the squad so unique is that they have twenty-seven girls and three boys on the squad. These remarkable students from Saltsburg Junior High made up the only co-ed junior high squad in this area. Linda Brown of Saltsburg coaches the squad. Placement in the Junior High Division competitions: *Oct 13 at West Mifflin-First Place *Oct 19 at Homer Center-First Place *Oct 26 at Purchase Line-Second Place *Nov 16 States at Fitzgerald Fieldhouse-First Place *Nov 17 at Blairsville-Second Place *Nov 24 at Monessen-First Place On December 7, they will be hosting their own competition to raise money for the Nationals competitions. The event starts at noon at the Saltsburg High School. On December 14 they will be attending the Regional competition at Purchase Line and would like to compete in Florida National in March.
