Westmoreland County will conclude its comprehensive planning process by presenting its proposed comprehensive plan at a public hearing on Monday, November 22, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the commissioner’s meeting room at the county courthouse in Greensburg.

The public hearing will begin with a presentation on various aspects of the proposed comprehensive plan – housing, land use, economic development, transportation, recreation, etc. After the presentation, the county will accept and consider public comments on the plan.

The county commissioners encourage all interested parties to attend the hearing and comment on the proposed comprehensive plan. Copies of the plan are available for review at the county planning department’s office and at the following locations: Allegheny Township Municipal Building; Rostraver Township Municipal Building; Mt. Pleasant Fire Hall; New Alexandria Community Building; and Ligonier Township Municipal Building. The proposed comprehensive plan is also available for review on the county’s website (www.co.westmoreland.pa.us)

The county commissioners are expected to consider adoption of the comprehensive plan next month.
