By demonstrating excellence in the delivery of stroke rehabilitative services, HEALTHSOUTH Harmarville Rehabilitation Hospital is the first inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the country to be awarded the Gold Seal of Approval™ and has achieved Disease-Specific Care Certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations for stroke rehabilitation.

Reviewers from the Joint Commission evaluated HEALTHSOUTH Harmarville’s Stroke Program in July 2004 to assess its compliance with the Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art national standards and performance measurement expectations for the management of chronic care illnesses.
