Overly's Country Christmas - Westmoreland County Fairgrounds
This holiday season treaty your family to a fun evening at Overly’s Country Christmas. Start with a relaxing ride through the park filled more lights than you can ever imagine. Once through, you can park your vehicle and walk through the country park. There is an amazing train display. After you are done, grab a bite to eat, and a burger and some hot chocolate or some kettle corn from the snack shop and sit down around an old fashioned bon-fire. Bring the kids to see Santa and then stop by the quaint gift shop full of wonderful Christmas gifts. Take a carriage ride through the light display. Before the evening ends be sure to stop in at the candy shop. You will have to control your self because there is an over abundance of chocolate all around.

Overly’s Christmas began many years ago at Harry Overly’s home in Armbrust, Pennsylvania. The location later changed to Idlewild Park (Ligonier Area) and then to the Westmoreland Fairgrounds near Norvelt.

Harry Overly touch many lives and was well known throughout the western Pennsylvania area for his yearly Holiday light displays. His light show raised thousands of dollars over the years to benefit hospitalized pediatric patients and other charities.

Harry died in December 1998 of lukiemia at age 68.
