The group will be reading and discussing, " The Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver in October. The story is about southern Appalachia and the power it holds over the lives and fates of the people that live there. If you don't have your own copy of this book and have a library card for the Apollo Memorial Library, the library staff will order you one from another library at no charge.
November's title is "Undaunted Courage" by Stephen Ambrose. This is the story of the Lewis & Clark expedition. December's titles are "Christmas Memories" by Truman Capote and "The Cat Who Came For Christmas" by Cleveland Amory.
You don't need anything special to join the group; just show up on the first Thursday of the month. If you would like additional information about this or any other program, you can contact the Apollo Memorial Library at 724-478-4214.
