Apollo United Presbyterian Pastor Dr. John F. Helgeson
In just over two months the children at the Apollo United Presbyterian Church along with the Mission Committee have raised their goal of $500 for "The Holy Cow Project". This money will go towards a needy family purchasing a heifer.

Heifer International is based in Little Rock, AR. The purpose of the organization is to offer hungry families around the world a way to feed themselves and to become independent. In addition to the heifer, the families also receive training on how to care for the animals. And, the organization doesn't just offer families heifers. They can also provide families with rabbits, chickens, ducks, honeybees, pigs, sheep, goats, llamas, and water buffalo. This idea has been successful for over fifty years and has enabled families in 115 countries to have an increase in health and finances.
