One of Two Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center Lodges
Are you looking for a place to hold your next event? The Armstrong Educational Trust organization has the answer for you and it is the Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center (ELC). The ELC offers many benefits to a wide variety of groups. The best of all, it is set in a unique environment that offers the best of nature and relaxation.

Camping at Crooked Creek ELC
The Crooked Creek Environmental Center is a hidden jewel in our area that a lot of people do not know about. It is also unique in the fact that it was the first environmental center built in the United States by the Army Corps of Engineers. Today it is operated by the Armstrong County Educational Trust organization with a mission of promoting environmental education and resource conservation.

Environmental Center Display Room
You can rent the ELC for your next program, meeting, workshop, youth group, and church event or to have an environmental learning experience. The ELC consists of two buildings set on 31 acres of park, meadow and forest, which is located next door to the 2,600-acre Crooked Creek Lake Park. The park includes a 400-acre lake open to boating, fishing, and swimming, and over seven miles of nature trails as well as an equine trail. The ELC also features its own interpretive trail and herb garden. There are overnight accommodations for 26 people.

There is a large meeting room, fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms and showers. There is also a deluxe living room area with an extensive collection of mounted animals, including birds, large and small mammals, snakes and fish on display. The main building holds a multi-purpose room with a fully equipped kitchen, a dormitory with overnight accommodations for 26 people, and a lodge-style great room housing an extensive collection of mounted animals that includes large birds, mammals, fish, and snakes. The second building holds a conference room, kitchen, and office space, a kitchen, and storage.
