Brett Newbould

Brett Newbould has been inducted as the hundreth member of the Skyview Radio Society. He is the son of Rich Newbould who has been a member for a number of years. His son Brett is on active duty in the Navy and is in Iraq. Like his father, he is an avid Amateur Radio operator. While Brett was stationed in California, he and Rich would often keep in touch via Ham Radio.

The Skyview Radio Society, a ham radio organization, made him the 100th member as an honor to him for serving his country.

Skyview Radio Society has made many major improvements in the last five years. This includes improving our clubhouse and improving our emergency communications skills. We have offered Amateur Radio classes and helped spread the word that this great hobby is still alive and well. Some of our members have traveled to Louisiana to successfully help out with their communication problems as well as our own flooding problems in the area back in September of 2004. In a short time, we have more than doubled our membership and we plan to bring more good people into our ranks.
