A Victorian Gentleman

Victorian Ladies and Gentlemen, Christmas carols, Holiday cards nearly a century old, and Professor Foster's Amazing Picture Book made for a nice evening at the Saltsburg Area Historical Society's Hadden House Stone Museum in Saltsburg.

We met many of the volunteers who make up the Historical Society, discovered which of them had alter-egos as Western characters, and were delighted and enlightened to find the true meaning of "Snood." And I, as a lover of "technological" gadgets, was interested to see a musical instrument with what I thought was its own air-conditioner!! But they called it a nearly century-old pump organ...

It was a cold snowy night at the Society's Light-Up Night Festivities but we were made warm and welcome inside the Hadden House.
