The Saltsburg Elementary School

The Saltsburg Elementary School PTA is busy planning for the 2003-2004 school year. The first Executive Meeting of the year will be held on August 13th to discuss budgeting and events for the year. The first membership meeting of the year will be held on September 24th at 7:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. The guest speaker will be Tomi Waters Boylestein, the outgoing president of the state PTA. Her topic of discussion will be "Building Successful Partnerships."

August 14th will be kindergarten registration. New parents to the school can be assigned a "PTA Buddy" to help guide them and answer questions. If you are a new parent to Saltsburg Elementary School, please contact the school office and let them know you would like to be assigned a "PTA Buddy". Please leave your name and telephone number for a return call.

In addition, the SES PTA is beginning their new membership drive. Dues are $3.50 and are used to help fight for our children at the government level. Anyone is welcome to join the PTA. You do not have to have a student attending SES. If you join the PTA and do not have a child attending SES, please contact Carla Stewart at stewart@kiski.net to be placed on the list to receive our monthly newsletter via e-mail. This newsletter is sent home monthly with all children attending SES.

The SES PTA and the Women's League of Voters will be hosting a booth at Community Days on September 13th. You can join the PTA and register to vote at the same time! The state PTA's goal is to register 5,000 voters by the year 2005.
