 VFW 894 |
Each year the Natrona Heights VFW 894 participates in different programs and fundraisers to benefit the community. Their efforts have provided money towards a kidney transplant for a local child, cancer research and for the area veteran's hospitals. One yearly event is their Angel Tree for Christmas.
The local welfare department provides the VFW with a list of names of needy children in the area. Then the members pick names and buy the children Christmas gifts. A party is held complete with pizza, pop and of course Santa and the members give out the gifts to the kids.
There are about 800-1000 members in the Natrona Heights VFW 894 who work towards this and other events.
