The Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek will host the 2006 Women’s Conference titled “Freedom in Christ” on Friday, and Saturday, September 29 and 30, 2006. Pastor Rebecca Baker from Calvary Chapel Worship Center will be the guest speaker for the conference. Her topic for the conference, “Freedom in Christ,” comes from Galatians 5:1 in the Bible which states “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Pastor Rebecca Baker is presently on staff at Calvary Chapel Worship Center in New Port Richey, Florida. It is a 5000+ member church where she is the Director for the New Life Wellness Center, a full-service counseling and social services center to the community. In addition, she is the Director of Women’s Ministry and Prayer Ministry at Calvary Chapel Worship Center. She has been in ministry for 30 years and has traveled and ministered in 45 nations of the world. Her mission is to challenge people to be “totally on fire for God.”

The two-day conference will kick off on Friday evening, September 29, 2006. There will be a meet and greet as well as worship and music from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006, starts with a continental breakfast from 8:15 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and then there will be worship sessions from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a break for lunch. There is no charge to attend the conference, but reservations are required. The Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek is located at 550 Center-New Texas Road in Plum.
