The Apollo Pool

Plans for major renovations to the Apollo Pool are currently being planned by the Apollo Area Recreation Association. These renovations are necessary to keep the pool up and running. The board is currently trying to raise funds for the massive undertaking. They desperately need the involvement of the community and businesses to see that this venture is a success.

The board is currently working with the Kiskiminetas Township Supervisors and the Armstrong County Department of Planning to apply for grant money through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Another fundraiser that has been planned is a special 'adult only' swim night to provide a night out to help support the pool. This will take place on August 16. There will be an entrance fee of $10 per person and the pool board will provide refreshments for those who attend.
