Rotarians from left John Peters, Bill Porter, President Steve Kuniak, and Jeff Weiss work to construct on of six benches at Harrison Hills Park
The Highlands Area Rotary installed benches in Harrison Hills Park Saturday, October 7th. Six benches were installed around the playground area at the Watt’s Grove. The benches are constructed with concrete and wood. The wood was provided by Allegheny County.

The funds for this project were attained through a matching grant program made possible by Rotary District 7300 in recognition of the Centennial of Rotary International. Projects utilizing these funds are to benefit the community and create awareness of Rotary. The total cost of the project is $1,200.

The Rotary Club was made aware of this need for benches by the Friends of Harrison Hills. Currently, there are no benches in this area of the park where adults can sit and relax as the children use the play equipment.
