On a bitter cold rainy night in the fall a sick, matted, weak puppy showed up at the Kiski Junction Railroad locomotive shed.

We immediately called all around to see if we could locate where he came from with no luck. After a trip to the vets and the groomer we found out he was a beautiful white male Samoyed. He is now the delight of the railroad crews and everyone in Schenley.

Tales of Taffy the Laffy Samoyed,have spread far and wide.He was recently invited to the Northern Illinois Samoyed Rescue Association Annual picnic, so off we went to Chicago. After meeting over 80 rescued Samoyeds we decided upon returning home to do something to benefit Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter in Kittanning, who were very kind and supportive of us helping him.

Taff has voluntered to be "Sammie-Klaws" and collect all the childrens letters to Santa to help speed them on their way.Taffy is without a doubt the fastest dog in town! Taffy the Hobo from a big red caboose in Schenley.
