Visitors begin their journey in the church sanctuary, where they will be greeted by someone who will take their name and number of people in their party. Visitors will enjoy live entertainment in the sanctuary until their party’s name has been called. At that point, they will be led to the table of Caesar Augustus where he will collect their $2 per person tax (donation), and send them on their way to meet one of the storytellers. Each storyteller will guide groups outside along the pathway to the Living Nativity, telling and showing them a reenactment of the events leading up to the birth of Christ. Afterwards, free refreshments will be available and Christmas caroling will occur around a fire.
The Living Nativity takes place from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. both evenings. The community is invited and encouraged to attend the Living Nativity and experience the true story of Christmas. The Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek is located on the Orange Belt at 550 Center-New Texas Road in Plum Borough. For more information, please contact the church at 412-793-4525 or log on to their website at: www.plumcreekchurch.com.
