Presenting the "Comfort Critters"

The Piece and Happiness Quilt Club recently donated 13 “Comfort Critters” to the Allegheny Township Police Department.

These hand-crafted pillow-like animals will be kept in the patrol cars and given to children when officers are called into tense situations, i.e. vehicle accidents, domestic situations, fires, etc. involving small children. Club members hope they will offer a small amount of comfort to children in what are sure to be difficult situations.

They also intend to continue to make these and other similar comfort objects, keeping the police officers supplied in the future.
