Andrew Nesler and big brother, Jack, test their rain gear out in the water fountain!
The picnic was so exciting Mother Nature wanted to pay her own visit! The families and staff didn't let cooler temperatures and a steady rain spoil Cornerstone's first annual picnic in the park. The rain let up just long enough to allow the children to get to know each other on the wonderful new equipment at Kunkle Park, while Cornerstone parents took advantage of the cozy pavilion.

The rain wasn't wet enough for Andrew Nesler, who pushed his rain coat to its limit playing in the water fountain! Katelyn Bombalski shared Andrew's sentiment, as she tested her rain boots out in the abundant puddles. Cody Pivirotto and Mason Forsythe made fast friends as they collected water dripping from the pavilion roof, and poured it over one another with giggles. Mackenzie Knapp preferred to stay dry as she quietly sculpted a playdough masterpiece. Jillian Lewis and Blake Vowler proved to be playground experts as they climbed, slid and ran through the maze of play equipment. Carli Luciano tested her climbing skills in barefeet, and she made it all the way to the top of the spiral bars!

This is just the beginning of a wonderful year for the Cornerstone children, and the first of many picnics to come. Cornerstone Montessori has limited enrollment yet available. A tour of the facility may be scheduled by calling 724-733-5284 or emailing info@cornerstonemontessorischool.org.
