Ten Seniors on the Plum High School boys soccer team were honored before last Thursday's game with Central Catholic.

The Plum High School boys soccer Senior Night festivities on Thursday Night October 11th included recognizing the ten Plum Mustang senior players before the varsity game. The players were escorted to midfield where they were greeted by their families and they presented their mothers with flowers. The stadium announcer then read prepared statements for each young man including their other high school sports and activities, academic accomplishments and future plans. Many photos were taken and tears were shed as the four year success of the players was celebrated. Even the cold rainy weather couldn't spoil the evening for this group of boys, most of which have been playing together since they were seven years old.

Following the game, all those in attendance were invited to a reception in the high school cafeteria. During the reception the boosters presented each senior with a photo collage poster and 60 page full color program containing photos of the players lives.

Plum went on to a 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings and put themselves in position for post season play. During their four years at Plum High School, the current Seniors have had a 0.797 winning percentage (61-14-4), qualified for the WPIAL playoffs all four years, won two Section Titles, earned a WPIAL AAA Championship and advanced to the PIAA State Semifinals.

The 2007 Plum Mustang Boys Soccer Team Seniors are: Greg Caffas, Michael Cuccaro, Anthony DeFabio, Kevin Hanlon, Brandon Rings, Jon Williams and Team Captains: Anthony Della Sala, Matt Kraemer, Clayton Kubrick and Anthony Russo.
