Aspinwall is planning its Third Annual Green Streets 2008 spring clean-up in celebration of Earth Day.

Green Streets will take place on Saturday, May 3rd (light rain or shine) between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Our community-wide clean-up is registered with The Great PA Clean-up which is a participant of the nation-wide Great American Clean-up Project.

Aspinwall residents interested in joining friends, neighbors, and local scout troops should meet at the corner of Brilliant and First Streets on the patio of Aspinwall Beans N Cream Coffee Shop and Aspinwall Bookstore at 10:00 a.m. After an hour, or so, of clean-up we will again congregate at the patio for refreshments provided by the Aspinwall Civic Association and music provided by various local artists. Home-made Greek foods will be available for purchase at J & W Variety Store. Please remember to wear suitable clothing and sunscreen for the clean-up. Safety vests for children, trash bags, and work gloves will be provided by PennDOT.
