Transfiguration School Science Team

Transfiguration School's Science team participated at the Pittsburgh Regional Science Fair this year and came away with five awards.

Five students including Eliza Dolby, Tim Miller, Samantha Gulick, Joseph Vaerewyck and Robert Vaerewyck participated this year with projects ranging from engineering and metallurgy to chickens and mice.

Samantha Gulick won the Society of Women Engineers award for her project on heating chickens nest boxes.

Joseph Vaerewyck won first place and 3 sponsor awards for growing tin whiskers. This was their final science fair as the school is closing at the end of the semester.
