2008 Plum HS Boys Varsity Volleyball Team

Coach Mike Larko's Mustangs travel to Bethel Park on Monday, May 19th to face the 2nd seeded Blackhawks in the WPIAL AAA Volleyball Quarterfinals. The Mustangs finished with a 9-3 record in the extremely difficult AAA Section 3. The winner of the match advances to the WPIAL Semi-finals to play the winner of Norwin vs Pittsburgh Central Catholic.

The Plum team was led by five Senior starters: Middle Mike Cuccaro, Setter Matt Kraemer, Outside Hitter Trent McConville, Rightside Dan Ramsey and Defensive Specialist Nick Ruefel.

The Mustang's on court success led to the section coaches selecting several Mustangs to the All-Section Teams. Joining Cuccaro on the first team is Junior Outside Hitter Jordan Schmitt while Kraemer and McConville were named to the 2nd team along with Junior Middle Sean Marvich.

We wish the boys continued success through the WPIAL playoffs and beyond.

Larko; and, Statisticians: Heather Dufer, Chelsea Magnusen and Courtney Marsh.
