Two hundred twenty-five people participated in the Northmoreland Park Fishing Derby on Sunday, May 25. David Forsythe (hometown unknown) caught a 14 1/2" Rainbow Trout to win Catch of the Day honors. The event was sponsored by Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation and the Westmoreland County Sportsman's League.

Other trophy winners follow. These are listed by name, age, hometown and their catch:

Catch of the Day: 1. David Forsythe, no age, Hometown unknown, 14 1/2" Rainbow Trout.

Longest Trout - ADULT: 1. Stacie Novitsky, No age, Latrobe, 13" Rainbow; 2. Ken Smith, no age, Export, 12 3/4" Rainbow; 3. Susie Smouse, no age, West Newton, 12 3/4" Rainbow.

Longest Trout - YOUTH: 1. Joey Collini, 5, Vandergrift, 13" Rainbow; 2. Matthew Kish, 11, New Kensington, 13" Rainbow; 3. Michael Berardo, 10, New Kensington, 12 3/4" Rainbow.

Longest Other - ADULT:

1. George Selembo, no age, Greensburg, 9 1/4" Crappie; 2. Terry Selembo, no age, Greensburg, 9" Crappie; 3. Steven Harmon, Jr., no age, Vandergrift, 9" Crappie.

Longest Other - YOUTH: 1. Brent Markisotto, 11, Delmont, 10 5/8" Crappie: 2. Dustin Hoyle, 9, Greensburg, 9 3/4" Catfish; 3. Dakota Harmon, 14, Vandergrift, 9 1/4" Crappie.
