We invite you to come to historic downtown Vandergrift to see the fine artwork exhibited in downtown business and storefront windows. Artwork will be exhibited until June 14th. There is a variety of art including paintings (watercolor, acrylic, oils, tempura), drawings (pen/ink, graphite, pastels, colored pencil, marker), photography, wood carvings, mixed media, ceramics, and stained glass.

There are 40 participating artists this year representing Vandergrift, Apollo, Leechburg, Creighton, Blairsville, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Pittsburgh, Latrobe, Saltsburg, Verona, Murrsyville, Avonmore, Allison Park, Derry, Greensburg, Bovard, Spring Church, and Ferndale. Artists range from age 8 to age 93, including student artists, amateur, and professional. Some artwork is for sale - if you see a piece that you'd like to buy, stop by the VIP office to make that purchase.

Bring your family and friends to walk the sidewalks of downtown to see the beautifully painted palettes that line the streets. Each are unique and wonderful. There are nearly 40 painted palettes this year!

While you're in town, stop by the VIP office at 132 Grant Avenue to pick up a Festival Program and a ballot to vote for the People's Choice Award. Vote for your favorite artist or artwork!

And don't miss the opportunity to bid for your favorite painted palette in the Palette Silent Auction - which goes from May 31-June 13. There are 10 beautiful palettes being auctioned off. The palettes can be viewed in the storefront windows of Professional Office Systems at the corner of Grant and Farragut Avenue. Minimum bids start at $25.00. If you want to place a bid on one of the palettes, stop by the VIP office to place your bid. Bids close at 4:00 on June 13th.

And you're guaranteed to enjoy the second annual Vandergrift Quilt Show which has nearly 40 beautifully handmade and machine made quilts exhibited at 184 Sherman Avenue. Go and vote for your favorite quilt! Some quilts may be on sale. Hours are M-Sat. 10-3:00 p.m.
