Headlining this year’s August Fun Fest is one of Pittsburgh’s premiere oldies bands, The Vogues. They will take the stage at 12:00 noon and 2:00pm. The Vogues, an internationally acclaimed group, have traveled the world making great music. The audience will recognize many of their biggest hits, such as “Five O’Clock World” and “Turn Around (Look at Me).”
There will be plenty of variety entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Returning to the event this year is Dennie Huber. Our magical friend Dennie is a fantastic children's entertainer whose show features music, magic, balloon twisting and humor.
Next on our list of great entertainers is visual comedian Pete Geist. Geist describes himself as a 12-year-old trapped in the body of a 36-year-old man. He has been performing his one-man show around the country for over 17 years. Magic, pantomime, juggling, and physical comedy…Geist does it all!
All classic car buffs need to check out the August Fun Fest Car Show and Cruise. Sponsored by the Road Kings Car Club, the show features cars of all types and has been featured in Hot Rod News magazine. The Road Kings have hundreds of cars annually for the show, which continues to grow every year.
How about rides for the kids? We've got 'em. Carnival rides, pony rides, kiddie train rides and even a petting zoo! Ride all day long for only three dollars!
Other attractions include an Arts and Crafts show, flea market, encampments by the Keystone Regiment and the Western PA Native American Association, Earl Schriver's Birds of Prey, and a cavalcade of bands.
