Kiski Area Marching Band Participates in BOA and PIMBA Competitions. The band’s final performance of the 2006 year was at the PIMBA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association) competition at Norwin High School on Saturday, October 28th. Kiski took 1st place with a score of 94.63 and received awards for Outstanding Visual Performance, Outstanding Music Performance and Outstanding General Effects.

The Alle-Kiski Valley’s newest diabetes care and education center this month completed its first year of operation, a year that has included program growth and successes in helping people manage one of America’s fastest-growing health-care problems.
Opened to patients on June 6, 2005, the Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate at Alle-Kiski Medical Center has provided a vital outlet to diabetes management for hundreds of patients. The facility at Citizens Ambulatory Care Center in New Kensington also has provided education for many more patients with diabetes.

David Michael Shadle, 21, was arrested last night by the Pennsylvania State Police and charged with criminal homicide in the death of 19-year old Jessica Aaron, an Indiania University of Pennsylvania student. She was found deceased at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28 in a bedroom on Kapusta Drive, Slickville. She was discovered by a resident of the house.
