Susan L. Chase of Natrona Heights has spent 26 years as a
Speech Pathologist. She is all about helping others. In the
midst of a successful career she made a decision to go beyond
the clinical approach and reach out to disabled persons with a
new and innovative approach that has proven to help their
     lives.

     Gloria's Kitchen: Fancy Italian Casserole
     http://www.alle-kiskitoday.com/articles/2572

This is a recipe that everyone will enjoy. It is easy to fix
and only takes a few ingredients to bring an eye appealing as
well as taste tantalizing dish to the table. I fixed it
recently for my family, with the intentions of having
leftovers for the next day, and everything was eaten right
away. So much for leftovers. Your family will enjoy it also.

     Captain Vandergrift-An Old Salt?: Jacob J. Vandergrift's
place in Kiski Valley history began thanks in part to a
Saltsburg native, Samuel Kier. Kier's marketing of oil (a
salt by-product in those days) and subsequent refining led to
Drake's oil discovery in 1859. The resulting oil boom and the
outbreak of the Civil War led Vandergrift in the 1860s to the
Oil Regions around Titusville. Leaving the Mississippi due to
Confederate attacks, he began transporting oil on his
riverboat down the Allegheny to Pittsburgh. Riverboat Captain
Vandergrift would become involved in one of America's first
and worst business scandals. Read more interesting history at
