     INTERNET NEWS

     Search Engines Leading Digital Revolution
The search engine will replace email as the top digital
application this year, with searches being performed on
everything from mobile phones to DVRs according to Deloitte
Technology, Media and Telecoms industry group. Deloitte is
also bullish on significant change in the radio realm, with
the rise of podcasts, satellite radio and streaming audio
online. But while Deloitte believes convergence will succeed
with IPTV and video-on-demand over broadband networks, mobile
television will be overblown and won't gain wide acceptance
in 2006. The only chance for third-generation mobile networks
is a new form factor -- handsets with large, foldable screens
and full-sized keyboards, the report says. "There will be
some big winners and some big losers and some, as always,
that gain acceptance at a slower rate than their initial
hype," said Tom Cassin, head of the Deloitte Technology,
Media and Telecoms industry group. [Source: Online Publishers

the salvage of a ship on the Carolina coast that may just
possibly be the last ship of the pirate Blackbeard.

     Housing Tracker
     http://www.benengebreth.org/housingtracker/

You've heard it before -- real estate is all about location,
location, and location. Bubble or not, the folks at Housing
Tracker believe in the old mantra, sprinkled with a big dose
of data. With the hope of getting a more realistic picture of
today's volatile market, Housing Tracker looks at weekly
asking prices and housing inventories. As weekly stats pour
in from the Multiple Listing Service, the Tracker presents
these trends in dozens of metro areas across the U.S.
Thinking of moving and want to know which city has one of the
largest housing inventories? On a budget and looking for one
of the cheapest markets? Or flush with cash and looking to
blow it all in an area with the highest median price? It may
be galling at times, but the information at Housing Tracker
is fascinating, whether you're in the market or not. [Source:
