     The  Vandergrift Fire/Rescue Department will  be  having  it's
     annual  Fish Fry Wednesday March 1st and running every  Friday
     during Lent. Hours are 12-7 on March 1st and 4-7 every Friday.
     Take  Out  or Eat In. Menu: 8oz fish or chicken sandwich  with
     coleslaw  and  choice  of  fries or  mac'n'cheese  for  $7.00.
     Sandwich  available  for just $4.00.  Please  ask  for  weekly

     The  Kiski Twp. Fire Department located at 1263 Old State Road

     Apollo Pool Selling Tab Coupon Books
     The  Apollo  Pool board and members are currently selling  Tab
     Coupon  Books  for $5. We are selling books  for  3  different
     areas  (Kiski Valley, Monroeville and Murrysville). Each  book
     has  48  coupons redeemable at local businesses. If the entire
     booklet  were  used,  the  total value  would  be  $176.  Some
     examples  of  coupons  are: Buy one, get  one  Happy  Meal  at
     McDonalds, B1G1 Big Mac; Pappa Johns- Buy a large pizza get  a
     small  one  free; Pizza Hut- Buy a large pizza, get  a  medium
     free.  There  are  too many good coupons to  list  them  all!!

     1936 Flood Program
     Apollo  Area  Historical Society presents a film on  the  1936
     flood  that was shot by a local resident when it was rare  for
     an individual to own a movie camera. The guest speaker for the
     evening  will  be  Mr. Keitler who is with the  Army  Corp  of
     Engineers who will tell us why the flood happened and  why  it
     won't  happen  again. The program is free to the  public  with
     refreshments following. The program starts at 7:00PM on Sunday
     March 12th.,2006
     
     AARP Tax Preparation
     AARP  volunteers will prepare taxes and rent rebates  for  low
     income  seniors at no cost. The East Vandergrift Senior Center
     is  hosting  the  tax preparation program on Friday  mornings,
     from  9  -  12,  at  the  Center on McKinley  Avenue  in  East

     Crime Prevention University
     The  PA  Attorney  General's Crime Prevention  University  for
     senior  citizens  will  be presented at the  East  Vandergrift
     Senior Center on Thursday, March 16 at 10:00 am. The public is
     welcome to attend this program that is so relevant for  senior

     FOX CHAPEL AREA HIGH SCHOOL SPRING MUSICAL “THE MUSIC MAN”
     The Fox Chapel Area High School spring musical “The Music Man”
     will  be  performed March 15, 16, 17, and 18, 2006.  The  show
     will  be  held  in  the high school auditorium  at  7:30  p.m.
     Tickets are $10 each and all seats are reserved.  Tickets  can
     be  purchased  in  the high school music department  beginning
     February  20.   Tickets will be sold Monday-Friday  from  7:30
     a.m.-3  p.m.  No ticket orders will be taken over  the  phone.
     Fox  Chapel Area High School is located at 611 Field Club Road
     in O’Hara Township.
     
     Rummage and Bake Sale
     The  Franklin  Ave.  Church Of God Youth  Group  is  having  a
     rummage  and bake sale on Friday, March 17th from 9 to  4  and
     Saturday  March 18th from 9 to 1. Please come and support  our
     youth.  Also, is anyone has anything that they would  like  to
     donate  you can call and we will be more than glad to pick  up

     BENEFIT AUCTION
     The  Orchard Hills Christian Academy is having an  auction  at
     385  Kings  Road, Apollo on March 18th, with a silent  auction
     staring at 11 am., and the regular auction starting at  1  pm.
     Food  and refreshments will be available. Our auctioneer  will
     be  Dean  Zug  of  Blairsville.  We  are  currently  accepting
     donations of items from businesses, and individuals to add  to
     the   items  we  are  auctioning  off.  We  will  gladly  make
     arrangements with you to pick up any items you may have if you

     Vietnam Program
     A  Vietnam  Program to honor all Vietnam Veterans and  Vietnam
     era Veterans will be held by the Heritage Museum at Seventh  &
     Lock  Street, Tarentum on Sunday March 19th at 2:00 p.m.  U.S.
     Marshall  Tom  Fitzgerald will be the guest  speaker  and  the
     Master of Ceremonies will be Ron Gancas, President & Executive
     Director  of Soldiers & Sailors National Military  Museum  and

     Swiss Steak Dinner
     Boiling  Springs Presbyterian Church will hold a  Swiss  Steak
     Dinner  on  March 25, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.  Adults  $7.00,

     All Ages Benefit Show
     An  all-ages  benefit show will be held on April  1st  at  the
     Apollo  Community  Center (near Apollo Music,  downtown).  The
     show is benefiting Habitat For Humanity (who help build homes)
     to  help  out  with Hurricane Katrina relief,  and  all  money
     raised will be donated to it. It's a Saturday night, and doors
     open at 7:00PM, bands start at 7:30PM. Cover is $5.00 or $3.00
     with  canned  food.  Bands include One Way Street,  Seven  Day
     Weekend, Eric and the Generics, and The Hormones. There'll  be
     food and drinks. Email me with any questions. We want to start
     having  shows around here more often, so this is a start,  and
     we'd like a big turnout!

     Diabetes Self-Management Classes
     Adagio  Health is offering a class in diabetes self-management
     to  local residents. These classes will cover topics including
     nutrition    management,   physical   activity,   medications,
     monitoring blood sugars and using results, as well as avoiding
     health  complications  related to  diabetes.  We  accept  most
     insurance plans. If you would like more information about  our

     of  5-  $2826? If so, you are qualified for the food bank.  If
     you  live  in  Indiana  County, and near  Saltsburg,  or  know
     someone who may be in need of the food bank, please give us  a

     on  the  third  Wednesday  of  each  month  at  the  Saltsburg
     Community   Building  across  from  the  Lutheran  Church   in
     Saltsburg  from 9 to 10 am. There is not just  a  program  for
