If you lived out near Dime Road or Crooked Creek in the early
1800's, with no police squad or army available, your law and
order may have been the Crooked Creek Rangers. A group of 50-
60 men, with ties to the Revolutionary War, they formed a
small militia that served the area for several years.

ELECTRICAL FIRE AT HYDE PARK FOUNDRY
A small fire broke out at the Hyde Park Foundry Wednesday
morning. It was an electrical short, but "damage was
minimized and there was no down time," according to National
Roll representative Paul Heckman. He credited this to the
     valley Fire Departments rapid turnout.
