     Middle-schoolers can take a virtual trip to an  archaeological
     dig  in central Turkey, southeast of the modern city of Konya.
     In 1998, archaeologists excavated a Neolithic settlement, that
     9,000  years ago, was one of the world's major cities  with  a
     population  of about 10,000 people. Presented in a comic  book
     style, the website features information about the processes of
     an  archaeological dig, artifacts found at the dig,  loads  of
     activities for kids -- make a neolithic dinner, paint a mural,
     play  a  ball  game -- as well as virtual tours  of  both  the
     excavation  and a subsequent exhibition at the Science  Museum
     of  Minnesota that opened in 2001. There is also  a  glossary,
     timeline, maps and links to additional resources.

     A  MOUTHFUL: One of the earliest Pennsylvania maps shows  the
     upper and lower Allegheny River Valley but gives each of  the
     two  regions two names. The upper Allegheny Valley is  called
     "Palawuthepiki",  while the lower Valley  was  likewise  name

     Relay for Life Auction
     The  Apollo Relay for Life, Four Corners Unit, will  hold  its
     third auction on Saturday, February 21st, at 10:00 A.M. at the
     Apollo-Spring Church Sportsmen Club in Spring Church. Many new
     or gently used items have been donated to this fundraiser. All
     proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Refreshments and
     baked goods will be available, also. Dave Carnahan Auctioneers
     have donated their time to conduct the auction. It promises to
     be an enjoyable event for all. Doors open at 9:00 A.M. and the
     public is invited to attend. Cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard
